When accessing Microsoft Office type files from a CTERA Cloud Storage Gateway over the network, you can receive a message that the file is locked by another user.
The message could be the result of:
- Windows Search Indexing of network shares
- Preview Pane
- Details Pane
The solution is dependent on the cause.
- If the cause was Windows Search Indexing, disable Windows Search Indexing.
- If the cause was the Preview Pane, disable it.
- If the cause was the Details Pane, disable it.
