When the database growsa rapidly due to rapidlt growing logs, truncating the logs table may be necessary to avoid running out of disk space.
Stop portal services on all servers:
Start PostgreSQL service on DB server:
Change to postgres user and run psql:
su – postgres
- Truncate the logs table:
postgres=# truncate logs;
- Stop postgres services:
- Start the portal:
Truncating is faster than doing a delete, but it will remove all the portal logs, so make sure all parties are in agreement before proceeding.
