Adding and Removing Licenses

As a prerequisite, you must purchase a license key from your CTERA authorized reseller, specifying your portal's DNS suffix, antivirus requirements, and the number of required CTERA Edge Filers, server agents, and workstation agent licenses. You receive one or more license keys.

Note

You can view your CTERA Portal's DNS suffix, in the global administration view's Settings > Control Panel > Global Settings page. This DNS suffix was set up when you installed the CTERA Portal, as described in the installation guide for your environment.
To extend a trial license requires Internet access. If this is a problem, contact CTERA support.

Adding or Editing a Comment for a License

To add or edit a license comment:

  1. In the global administration view, select Settings > License in the navigation pane.
    The License page is displayed.

  2. Click the license key.
    The Edit License Comment page is displayed.

  3. Optionally, add or edit the contents of the Comment field.
  4. Click Save.

Removing Licenses

To remove a license:

  1. In the global administration view, select Settings > License in the navigation pane.
    The License page is displayed.
  2. Select the license key and click Delete License.
    A confirmation window is displayed.
  3. Click Delete License.

The license key is deleted.
