Click the Data Analytics per Virtual Portal option in the Dashboards List to display details for each virtual portal in the CTERA Portal.
Select the portal from the Portal drop-down.
Data Analytics per Virtual Portal provides you with information about the selected virtual portal in the following sections:
Data Analytics
Data Analytics provides you with an data analytics for a specific virtual portal.
The Data Analytics section enables you to monitor the following:
- Top 10 file types – The percentage usage of the ten most common file types in the selected portal. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the pie chart.
Hover the mouse over a name in the table to highlight the area in the pie chart. Hover the mouse over a section in the pie chart to display the information for that section. Click on options from the table to remove or add back the option to display the information with or without the selected options. Click the color in the table for an option to change the color for that option. - Distributed files by range – The breakdown of the files in the selected portal by size ranges. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a pie chart.
Hover the mouse over a name in the table to highlight the area in the pie chart. Hover the mouse over a section in the pie chart to display the information for that section. Click on options from the table to remove or add back the option to display the information with or without the selected options. Click the color in the table for an option to change the color for that option. - Cloud Folders – The size of each of the largest ten cloud folders in the selected portal. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the pie chart.

Click on options from the table to remove or add back the option to display the information with or without the selected options. Click the color in the table for an option to change the color for that option. - Dedup Ratio– The deduplication ration for all the files managed by the portal.
- Total number of files – The total number of files managed by the portal over time. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the graph.
Hover the mouse over a section in the graph to display the information for that point-in-time. - Average file size – The average file size over time. of files managed by the portal over time. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the graph.

Reports
The Reports section includes the following:
- Devices not connected – Devices (agents, edge filers and mobile devices) registered with the selected virtual portal but not connected.
Each device is listed by name and type of device.
Click the filter icon in the column name to display the table filtered by a column value. - Devices failed to sync – Devices (agents, edge filers and mobile devices) that failed to sync with the selected virtual portal.
Each device is listed by name and type of device and the reason that the device failed to sync.
Click the filter icon in the column name to display the table filtered by a column value. - Devices failed to backup – Devices (agents, edge filers and mobile devices) that failed to backup to the selected virtual portal.
Each device is listed by name and type of device and the reason that the device failed to back up.
Click the filter icon in the column name to display the table filtered by a column value. - Top backup errors – The top ten most common backup errors displayed as a pie chart. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the pie chart.
Hover the mouse over a name in the table to highlight the area in the pie chart. Hover the mouse over a section in the pie chart to display the total number or that error that occurred for that section. Click on options from the table to remove or add back the option to display the information with or without the selected options. Click the color in the table for an option to change the color for that option.
