Deploying CTERA Insight At the Customer

Creating the CTERA Insight Proxy ServerCTERA Insight collects and analyzes metrics and traces across every component in your CTERA environment.

CTERA Insight requires a proxy server to be installed at the customer site which is then configured to collect KPIs and metrics from the CTERA Portal servers to CTERA Insight where the information is analyzed and the results of the analysis displayed in a central Web-based interface.

Creating the CTERA Insight proxy server involves the following steps:

  • VMware ESXi
  • AWS
  • Azure
• Configuring the CTERA Insight Proxy Server

After the first step has completed (Creating the CTERA Insight Proxy Server), you must send the IP of the proxy server to CTERA before continuing with the second step (Configuring the CTERA Insight Proxy Server).
If you have external IPs to use to assign to virtual machines, you can send the IP you will assign to the proxy server to CTERA before starting the deployment, to get the relevant script to run in Configuring the CTERA Insight Proxy Server.
