CTERA Agents include a command line interface (CLI), with a rich set of commands that can be accessed from the user interface to perform actions not directly available in the GUI.
You can also manage the CTERA Agent either from the user interface, or directly from the command line, using the cteracrl command, from the folder where the CTERA Agent was installed. For details, refer to CTERA Drive Protect (Agent).
Step-by-step guide
To access the agent CLI interface:
- Either, right-click the CTERA Agent tray icon and select Settings, or, click the gear icon in the bottom right corner of the CTERA Agent window.
Note: If the currently logged in user account does not have sufficient credentials to manage the CTERA Agent, a Login page is displayed. To log in, enter the user name and password of an administrator or backup operator on this machine.
The CTERA Agent Settings window opens, displaying the Cloud Backup Control Panel page. - Right-click any option under Advanced in the navigation menu and select Open in New Window from the popup menu.

- In the address bar of your browser, delete the string that appears after the final ":" (for example, Remote Access if you clicked Remote Access in the previous step) and type cli in its place.
- Press Enter.
The CLI Execution page is displayed.
