Subfolder level quotas can be defined locally on the edge filer bt running a command. For more information, contact CTERA Support.

To enforce the quotas on the edge filer, the portal messaging service must be enabled. After messaging is enabled, but before the quota restrictions can be applied on an edge filer, a full scan of the edge filer is required. After the full sync has completed, quotas are enforced on the edge filer by running a command. For more information, contact CTERA Support.

If an entity exceeds its quota, the edge filer prevents any further write operations to that entity. If a given entity exceeds its quota limit, all of its descendants in the dependency tree are also considered to be over-quota, and any write operations to those entities are also blocked.
