Managing the Agent

When the CTERA Agent is connected to a portal, right-click the tray icon for agent options.
Open – Opens the CTERA Agent window, enabling you to start a backup. Clicking the tray icon, , also opens the CTERA Agent window.
Clicking Backup now starts a backup. For details, see Managing Cloud Backup.
Clicking Restore opens the CTERA Agent Settings window, displaying the Restore option.
For details, see Restoring Files.
Clicking to the right of Restore , suspends or unsuspends a currently running backup and all scheduled backups.
Clicking View online displays the cloud drive of the portal that the agent is connected to in a browser.
Clicking Open folder displays the files on the cloud drive in Windows Explorer. For details, see Viewing Your Cloud Drive.
Clicking to the right of View online, suspends or unsuspends syncing between the agent machine and the portal. For details, see Manually Managing Folder Syncing .
Restore - Opens the CTERA Agent Settings window, displaying the Restore option. Clicking Restore in the CTERA Agent Window also opens this option. For details, see Restoring Files .
Cloud Drive – Displays the files on the cloud drive. For details, see Viewing Your Cloud Drive.
Suspend Backup /Unsuspend Backup – Suspends or unsuspends a currently running backup and all scheduled backups.
Suspend Sync /Unsuspend Sync – Suspends or unsuspends syncing between the agent machine and the portal. For details, see Manually Managing Folder Syncing.
Settings – Opens the CTERA Agent Settings window. For details, see The CTERA Agent Settings Window.
About – Displays information about the CTERA Agent. This option is also available from the CTERA Agent window, by clicking the vertical dots in the bottom right corner.
Sign Out – Disconnects the agent from the portal after clicking Yes to confirm. This option is also available from the CTERA Agent window, by clicking the vertical dots in the bottom right corner.
