Moving from using the messaging service in a small or test environment with only one server to a production environment by adding more servers, requires performing the following:
- Add an additional server and configure it as a messaging server.Note
This server, and all the additional messaging servers added later in this procedure, require an additional 16GB RAM and a minimum of 250GB storage.a minimum of 250GB storage.
- Remove the messaging service from the original MainDB server. For details, see Replacing a Messaging Server.
- Add another server, the third server, and verify that messaging is still running on the single server.
- Add another server, the fourth server, and verify that messaging is still running on the single server.
- Configure the third and fourth servers as messaging servers.
Note
All existing messaging data from the single messaging server is erased.
