The CTERA Insight Dashboards List is the main way to navigate to other dashboards, via the Monitoring Menu. In addition the Dashboards List includes sections that provide general information.
The CTERA Insight Dashboards List contains the following sections:
Monitoring Menu – Displays the monitoring options: Server Monitoring, Data Analytics, and Device Monitoring. Clicking an option opens the relevant screen.
- Server Monitoring – Displays information about the servers in the CTERA Portal, either for all the servers, or for one specific server.
- Data Analytics – Displays information about the files and their movement in the CTERA Portal either for all the virtual portals, Global Data Analytics, or for a specific virtual portal.
- Device Monitoring – Displays information about the edge filers (gateways) connected to the CTERA Portal.
Global Monitoring – Displays the global monitoring information:
- Top 10 file types – The percentage usage of the ten most common file types in all the virtual portals in the CTERA Portal. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the pie chart.
Hover the mouse over a name in the table to highlight the area in the pie chart. Hover the mouse over a section in the pie chart to display the information for that section. Click on options from the table to remove or add back the option to display the information with or without the selected options. Click the color in the table for an option to change the color for that option. - Total number of files per virtual portal – The total number of files across all the virtual portals in the CTERA Portal. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the pie chart. The table lists the number of files for each virtual portal.

Click on options from the table to remove or add back the option to display the information with or without the selected options. - Top 10 cloud folders – The size of each of the largest ten cloud folders in all the virtual portals in the CTERA Portal. Click the down arrow displayed to the right of the title when you hover the mouse over the title and then View, to display a larger view of the pie chart.

Devices – Displays the number devices connected to the CTERA Portal and the number devices registered to the CTERA Portal but not connected.
- Connected devices per virtual portal – The total number of connected devices, CTERA Edge Filers, CTERA Drive (Agents) and CTERA mobile devices, for each virtual portal.
Click the filter icon in the column name to display the table filtered by a column value. - Devices not connected – Devices (agents, edge filers and mobile devices) registered with a virtual portal but not connected.
Each device is listed by name, the virtual portal, and the type of device.
Click the filter icon in the column name to display the table filtered by a column value. - Devices failed to sync – Devices (agents, edge filers and mobile devices) that failed to sync with a virtual portal.
Each device is listed by name, the virtual portal, the type of device, and the reason that the device failed to sync. When multiple reasons for the sync failure occur, the device is listed multiple times, once for each failure reason.
Click the filter icon in the column name to display the table filtered by a column value.
