C Series Edge Filers: Array Contains Incompatible RAID Disk

Problem

You get a warning that the array includes an incompatible disk. 

Solution

Installed drives are checked for the enabled Error Recovery Control feature to promote optimal RAID compatibility.

If you receive a warning  that the array includes an incompatible disk, it means that an HDD model installed in your gateway is not an enterprise HDD or capable of utilizing error recovery control. You may utilize this drive and it will likely continue to function in the gateway but this configuration is not supported.
