Changing the AWS EC2 Instance from One Instance Type to a New Instance Type
For the current CTERA recommendations, see AWS Specific Requirements.
See Change an AWS Instance Type.
Updating a Amazon S3 Storage Node
If upgrading from CTERA Portal 7.2.x or earlier, before upgrading a portal that uses an Amazon S3 storage node that is defined with the s3.amazonaws.com global endpoint you must change the endpoint to a private endpoint.
Warning
Storage nodes defined using the s3.amazonaws.com global endpoint are offline until the endpoint is changed to a private endpoint.
