Using the CTERA Agent

If the CTERA Portal administrator has uploaded CTERA Agent software to the CTERA Portal, a Download Agent button is displayed in the sign in page and the in the user interface. The agent can be installed remotely by the administrator to your computer, or click Download Agent and then run the installation.
Note: The Agent software depends on the operating system of the device on which it is installed. The agent installation for the operating system where the web browser is running is downloaded to your computer.
Install the CTERA Agent for desktops or laptops, so that you can:

• Sync the most current versions of your folders or files from your computer with the CTERA Portal and have the folders and files accessible from any device.
• On a Windows PC, edit CTERA Portal files locally, with any changes being automatically re-uploaded to the CTERA Portal.
• Backup folders and files from your computer to the CTERA Portal.

You can view the CTERA Portal Cloud Drive in a file manager. In the file manager a Cloud Drive folder is defined.

You can edit the files directly from the file manager. Changes to the files, new files or deletions are synced to the CTERA Portal automatically.
