Viewing Files

Click on a file, to view it in the online viewer.

This list of icons changes dependent on what actions you can perform on the preview file:
– Search within the file.
– Pan within the file.
– Select text within the file.
– Rotate the file 90 degrees clockwise.
– Magnify a part of the file. Move the cursor to the part to magnify and press the left mouse button.
– Select a part of the document to zoom in on.
– Resize the content to fit the display size.
– Zoom in to the file.
– Zoom out.
– Print the file.
– Download the file.
– Edit the file, either using Microsoft O365 or CTERA Edit. See Editing and Creating Files.

An extensive list of file types is supported. If online viewing is not supported for your file type, CTERA Portal will offer to download it instead.
The following file types are supported:
Document – DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, RTF, CSV, PDF, ODT, ODS, ODP, and many older document formats
Web – HTML, SVG
Image – TIFF, JPG, JPEG, JP2, GIF, PNG, RAS, CAL, MIL, DIB, BMP, PSD, PCT, PCX, DCX, PCD, WMF, EMF, TGA, and many more image formats
Medical Image Files – DICOM, DCM
CAD – DGN (support for V7 and V8 DGN, including V8 XM and V8I), DWG (version 2.5 through 2014), DXF (version 2.5 through 2014)
Email – EML, MSG
Other – txt
