As part of the procedure to crate a share, you can select an existing cloud drive folder or create a new cloud drive folder to use.
To configure shares from the portal:

Select Global File System > Shares in the navigation pane.
The Shares page is displayed.

Click New Share.
The New Share page is displayed.

Click in the Path field.
The Select Directory window is displayed, showing the top path, the users.

Either:- Select the top path and drill-down to the level you want and select the folder.
- Click Select.

Or:
- Select the top path and drill-down to the level you want and click New Folder.

- Enter the name for the share and click Create.
The folder is created and displayed in the list, selected.

- Continue to drill-down from this new folder, creating folders under it as required.
- Select the the folder you want and click Select.
The folder is selected and the New Share page redisplayed with the path.

Enter a name for the share.

For SMB Settings, if you want to block specific file extensions, slide Enable Blocking File Extensions on.

- Select eithe Existing Users/Groups or Manual Entry.
- For Existing Users/Groups enter the domain and a user or group and then the file types to block, with multiple file types separated by commas.
- For Manual Entry select User or Group and then enter the user or group and then the file types to block, with multiple file types separated by commas.
- Click Add Rule.

You can add multiple rules.
Click
to edit a rule and then click
to save the changes or click
to delete the rule. -
For NFS Settings, you can enable Kerberos by sliding Enable Kerberos NFS Access on and enable NFS access for a single edge filer by sliding Enable NFS Access on.

- Click Add Host.
- Specify the host access: the hpst name, netmask, and the required permission from the list: Read Only, Read/Write, or No Access.
- Click
to save the access details.
You can add multiple hosts.
Click
to edit host details and then click
to save the changes or click
to delete the host. - Slide Advanced NFS Settings on to set the kerberos-based security: None (the default), krb5, krb5i, or krb5p.

Click Add Device to select from the list of the edge filers that have central share configuration configured.

Set the permisions for the share.
- Select eithe Existing Users/Groups or Manual Entry.
- For Existing Users/Groups enter the domain and a user or group and then the permission: Read Only, Read/Write, or No Access.
- For Manual Entry select User or Group and then enter the user or group and then the permission: Read Only, Read/Write, or No Access.
- Click Add User Or Group

You can add users or groups with their own permissions.
Click
to edit a user or group permission and then click
to save the changes or click
to delete the user or group permission. -
Slide Enable FTP Access on to enable FTP access.

Click Save.
The share is added to the edge filers that it was defined for and is displayed in the Shares page.

The share is immediately added to the relevant edge filers.
