CTERA Edge Filer version 7.12.5400.5 includes the following new features:
- The next generation file system is enabled automatically for new and upgraded deployments.
- Support for managing folder quotas from the portal, when using portal version 8.3.3300.8 and higher.
- Changes to metadata pinning.
- Improvements to CTERA Migrate. For example, better support for migrating alternate data streams (ADS) data.
- Improvements to Ransom Protect. For example:
- Excluded users from ransom detection can now see honeypot directories.
- Audit logs include the first READ from honeypot files.
- Additional alerts have been added to help troubleshooting.
- The Network (System > Network) page now displays IPv6 in addition to IPv4 for networks.
- The Samba version has been upgraded from 4.17 to 4.22.
- The virtual machine kernel has been upgraded to provide better security and prerformance.
