In case of a disaster that affects the source bucket:
- In the Wasabi Console, navigate to Buckets.
- In the Buckets page, click the Actions,
, icon next to the source bucket. - Click Rename.
- In the Rename Bucket window enter a new, unique, name for the source bucket.
- Click Rename Bucket.
- In the Buckets page, click the Actions,
, icon next to the destination bucket. - Click Rename.
- In the Rename Bucket window enter the original source bucket name.
- Click Rename Bucket.
The list of buckets in the Buckets page now has the original source bucket with a new, unique, name and the original destination bucket now named the original source bucket name. You will see two buckets in your bucket list: one which is the source bucket with a new name, and the one that is the destination bucket with the original source bucket’s name. - In a Web browser open
http://<virtualportal_name>.<DNS_Suffix>/admin
where, virtualportal_name is the name of any one of the virtual portals defined in CTERA Portal, and DNS_Suffix is the DNS suffix for the CTERA Portal installation. - In the global administration view, select Main > Storage Nodes in the navigation pane.
The Storage Nodes page is displayed. - Click the Wasabi storage node.
Note that it is disconnected. - Update the endpoint to point to the region of the Wasabi destination bucket.
- Click Save.
The portal connects to the destination bucket.
Failing Back
- In the Wasabi Console, navigate to Buckets.
- In the Buckets page, click the Actions,
, icon next to the new source bucket; the original destination bucket. - Click Rename.
- In the Rename Bucket window enter the original name for the destination bucket.
- Click Rename Bucket.
- In the Buckets page, click the Actions,
, icon next to the original source bucket that was renamed to a new unique name. - Click Rename.
- In the Rename Bucket window enter the original source bucket name.
- Click Rename Bucket.
The list of buckets in the Buckets page now has the original source bucket with it's original name and the original destination bucket renamed with the original destination name. You will see two buckets in your bucket list: one which is the source bucket, and the one that is the destination bucket. - In a Web browser open
