The CTERA MCP Server runs on an application server, not of the primary, database, server nor the secondary, replication, server.
Note
In a test environment with only one server that acts as both the primary, database, server and as an application server, the CTERA MCP Server can be enabled.
To set up the the MCP Server:
- In the global administration view, select Services > MCP Server in the navigation pane.
The MCP Server page is displayed.

- Click Enable Service.
The CollectingStatus page is displayed.

This stage can take a few minutes before the MCP server is active.

MCP Server Settings
The MCP Server settings cannot be modified but displays what is available.
To see the MCP Server settings:
- In the global administration view, select Services > MCP Server in the navigation pane.
The MCP Server page is displayed.

- Click Settings.
The Settings page is displayed.

Disabling the MCP Server
To disble the MCP Server:
- In the global administration view, select Services > MCP Server in the navigation pane.
The MCP Server page is displayed.

- Click Disable Service.
The service is disabled.
