Microsoft Intune is a cloud-based mobile device management (MDM) service that helps you manage, and secure mobile devices used by your employees.

CTERA Mobile app includes a number of levels of security to secure corporate data. In addition, you can integrate the CTERA Mobile app using Microsoft Intune, to protect corporate data without touching personal data. Once integrated, CTERA Mobile app is managed by Microsoft Intune. Microsoft Intune’s mobile device management (MDM) capabilities give you the fundamental visibility and IT controls needed to securely deploy, manage, and retire devices when employees replace devices or leave the company.

Requirements

To integrate CTERA Drive Mobile with Microsoft Intune, the following are required:

  • Microsoft Intune
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Administrative credentials
  • The CTERA for Intune app

Configuration

Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center access the App Protection Policy Settings for iOS. Define the policies you want to apply to all iOS apps, including the CTERA Drive Mobile app. For example:

  • Enforce encryption on sensitive data
  • Restrict data transfer to unmanaged apps

You can also add restrictions in Device Restrictions for iOS. For example:

  • Blocking app store installations
  • Controlling app notifications
  • Activation lock bypass
  • Complete or selective device wipe

After setting the protection policies and restrictions, deploy CTERA Drive Mobile app for Intune to your users.
