You can filter Activity Analytics and File System Analytics content by:
- Date and time range
- Virtual portals
- Edge filers
- Shares
- Cloud folders
- Operations
- Users
To filter the date and time range:
- Click the dates displayed to change the range.

The default is for the last 7 days.NoteWhen selecting a custom range, you can specify both the date range and a time range.
- When a custom range is specified, click OK to confirm the selected range.
To apply other filters:
- Click Filter to display the available filters.
- Select what you want to include in the filter.
- Click Apply Filters.
To clear filters:
- Click Clear All.
Filter Types
Date and Time

Provide the date range to display data.
When the Custom option is selected, fine tuning the data that is displayed is possible to a specific date and time range.

The From time is from the beginning of the hour selected and the To time is to the end of the hour selected. For example, selecting From 01:00 and To 16:00 means the filter is from 0:100 to 16:59.
When CTERA InsightAI is licensed with the basic license, only three months of data is retained. When the license is the premium license, 12 months data is retained.
Virtual Portal
The dashboard can be filtered for all team portals or for one specific team portal. When a global administrator has accessed CTERA InsightAI, all of the team portals are available. When a team administrator has accessed CTERA InsightAI, the only choice is the current team portal.

Edge Filer
The dashboard can be filtered for all edge filers or for one specific edge filer. When a global administrator accesses CTERA InsightAI, all of the edge filers that are registered to the all the team portals that have auditing enabled are available. When a team administrator accesses CTERA InsightAI, only the edge filers registered with that team portal and have auditing enabled can be selected.

Shares
The dashboard can be filtered for one or more specific shares.

Cloud Folders
The dashboard can be filtered for one or more specific cloud folders.

Operation
The dashboard can be filtered for all operations or or for one specific operation, such as writes or reads or deleted within the timeframe.
Users
The dashboard can be filtered for one or more users. When a global administrator accesses CTERA InsightAI, all of the portal users that have performed an auditable action are available. When a team administrator accesses CTERA InsightAI, the only choice is users from that team portal that have performed an auditable action.
