You can select individual or multiple items by either clicking on the box to the left of each folder or file or by clicking the down arrow on the left in the menu bar. The following options in the drop-down menu apply to all the items in the folder:
Select All – Select all folders and files.
Select Folders – Select only folders.
Select Files – Select only files.
Select None – Deselect the selected items.
Note
This option appears in the list only after at least one item is selected.
Select Deleted – When deleted items are displayed, you can select only the deleted items.

You can also select or deselect all the items by clicking the box to the left of the down arrow in the menu bar.
