You can set CTERA Drive Connect to automatically check for new versions, by checking Automatically check for updates in the Update window.

Check Automatically check for updates in to get an update prompt whenever a new version of CTERA Drive Connect is available.
If you do not check Automatically check for updates in, you have to manually check for updates.
macOS: Check Automatically download and install updates to automatically install a new version when it becomes available, when the user quits CTERA Drive Connect.
To check for updates for CTERA Drive Connect:

Click Check for Update Now to check if a new version of CTERA Drive Connect is available.
If a new version is available, a new version window is displayed.NoteIf the current version is the latest version, the You’re up to date window is displayed.
