CTERA Cache Assist

CTERA provides a macOS Finder extension, CTERA Cache Assist, for enhanced display of cached network shares for the purpose of providing a consistent user experience across any desktop and edge filer.

Download and install CTERA Cache Assist, as described in Installing CTERA Cache Assist. CTERA Cache Assist integration in macOS Finder includes the following:

• Icon overlays.
• Ensuring that files and folders are available locally on your computer.
• Preview files that are not stub files.

What's New in Version 3.0

CTERA Cache Assist version 3.0 supports macOS a property list, .plist, for distributed environment deployment so that it is easier to deploy CTERA Cache Assist in large organizations with distributed locations. The property list enables an administrator to control whether CTERA Cache Assist is enabled or disabled without user intervention.

In addition to support for a property list, the path to enable CTERA Cache Assist as a Finder extension on macOS 13.1 (Ventura) and on prior versions has been fixed.
