CTERA Portal version 8.2.x includes a number of new features for end users:
Sharing Content to Microsoft Teams
Access to a CTERA Portal can be added to Microsoft Teams as part of a channel or a group chat inside a team or as a personal tab for an individual user. When using the portal within Microsoft Teams:
- You can share content within Microsoft Teams using public links, for files in cloud drive folders where Windows ACLs are not enabled.
- Share permalinks within Microsoft Teams.
Note
The button to share a public link or permalink within Microsoft Teams is disabled unless the portal is being used within Microsoft Teams.
For details about adding a CTERA Portal within Microsoft Teams, see Making the CTERA Portal App Available.
Creating Public Links and Folders with ACLs Enabled
Public links can only be created for cloud drive folders when Enable Windows ACLs is not checked for the cloud drive folder definition.

As of this version, by default cloud drive folders are created with Windows ACLs enabled.
