Uninstalling CTERA Drive Connect

Use the following instructions for your platform to cleanly uninstall CTERA Drive Connect.

Windows

  1. Exit from CTERA Drive Connect and search for the option to add or remove programs.
  2. Uninstall the CTERA Drive Connect app.
  3. Navigate to C:\Users<name>\AppData\Local, where name is the user name for the computer, and delete the CTERA Drive Connect folder.
    Note

    Do not delete the CTERA Drive Connect Support app.

  4. Navigate to C:\Users<name>\AppData\Roaming , where name is the user name for the computer, and delete the CTERA Drive Connect folder.
  5. If you changed the location on the disk for cached files from the default, in Preferences in the Sync tab, navigate to this cache location and delete it.

  6. If you used keychain: delete all CTERA Drive Connect related entries in the Windows Credential Manager.

maOS

  1. Exit from CTERA Drive Connect.
  2. Navigate to the application folder.
  3. Right-click CTERA Drive Connect.app and select Move to Trash from the popup menu.
  4. If you changed the mount location from the default, in Preferences in the Sync tab, navigate to this location and delete it.

  5. Delete the CTERA Token account.
  6. If you used keychain: delete all CTERA Drive Connect related entries in Keychain Access.app.
